  Great place to camp. Love the swimm8ing hole in Kholo Creek.
  
  Recreation activities on site are based around the Scout Association's youth program, particularly the emphasis on bush camping. The facilities are also used by Guides, schools, church and community youth groups etc.
  
  The following is a list of some of the recreation activity options available:
  • camping
  • hiking and exploring
  • swimming (a deep natural swimming hole in Kholo Creek)
  • nature/environmental trail
  • orienteering
  • cycling (mountain bikes)
  • tree planting and environmental studies
  • bushcraft
  • bush safety and survival
  • bush chapel.
  
  The facilities are also available as a training venue.
  
  Most of Tyamolum is kept in its natural state, primarily to be used for bush camping. Some flat open areas are kept mown and free from regrowth specifically for campsites. Town water is on tap to the most used sites.
  
  There are only three permanent buildings on the property:
  1. An open-sided shelter shed with tables and seating for about 24.
  2. A small unisex amenities block with septic toilets and hot showers for campers.
  3. The holiday shelter is a concrete block building designed to accommodate a large group for a weekend or longer. The building has bunkrooms to sleep 35, with generous size kitchen, dinning and ablutions all under the one roof.
